“I’ve already taken so many chances to get to do this full-time – which is already a really special thing – that you have to honor that and stay true to what got you there in the first place, which is doing things that you believe in and that you like. And you’ve got to keep staying inspired by what you’re doing.”

Always keep your eyes open. Keep watching. Because whatever you see can inspire you.

Must is who we are, what we believe, and what we do when we are alone with our truest, most authentic self. It’s our instincts, our cravings and longings, the things and places and ideas we burn for, the intuition that swells up from somewhere deep inside of us. Must is what happens when we stop conforming to other people’s ideals and start connecting to our own. Because when we choose Must, we are no longer looking for inspiration out there. Instead, we are listening to our calling from within, from some luminous, mysterious place.

We gradually shed more and more light until the solution is dazzlingly clear. Constraints can inspire clarity, and then creativity. One of the best feelings when creating something new is how infinite we feel while doing it. But in order to reach that point, we sometimes have to be just the opposite.  The possibilities are endless, they really are. Unless, of course, you don’t want them to be.

While I cannot offer you the secret elixir of instant happiness and inspiration, I can offer you the next best thing: step outside.

All that inspirational music revealed something beautiful to me: the way out of that prisoner-mindset was love, and was love all along. It started with believing in its power, and slowly lead to believing that maybe, just maybe, I’m worth loving, too.

dear universe, may you remind me that there is a
purpose for this pain of mine.
because there is a way to the light,
and i am finding myself closer and closer to it
with every breath.

may you remind me to
let my journey guide others.
let my fight inspire others.
let my story be told
and let my heart stay full.

so worth loving
